Rebecca "Becky" Reymann

The angels came for our beloved, sister, wife, mother and friend on the morning of December 20, 2022. She now rests for eternity with the Lord she so loved and served. Becky came into this world on April 21, 1953 as the fourth child of Estella and Ernesto Bencomo. She was raised in Montebello, CA attending St. Benedict’s Elementary School, Sacred Heart of Mary High School ’71, ELA College and Cal-State L.A. Upon earning her teaching credential in 1976, she dedicated her entire career to elementary education. She taught four years at St. Bruno’s in Whittier and 34 years with the Mt. View School District, El Monte.

Her life was filled with compassion for so many. Her time was always for her children’s growing up activities, her untold hours in parish religious education and other ministries and frequently housing friends and relatives who needed the time to get on their feet. All this with a genuine smile and great patience. She was quick to love and slow to judge others.

She endured the cancer that took her life for three years and three months. There was no complaining but acceptance which served us as a model of graciousness we cannot forget. She is preceded in death by her parents, Estella and Ernesto, older brother, David and sister-in-law Liz Cruz Bencomo. She is survived by her husband, Tony, daughters, Sara and Kathryn (Bobby) Evans and brothers, Ernie (Virg) Bencomo, Dennis (Judy) Bencomo and Art Bencomo and sister, Ana (Craig) Cape and several nieces and nephews. Many friends and colleagues will also miss her dearly.

A rosary prayer service for Becky will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.

at St Christopher Catholic Church, 629 S. Glendora Ave., West Covina, CA 91790. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 629 S. Glendora Ave., West Covina, CA 91790. Interment will follow Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.
