PATRICIA C. GONZALES

 Patricia Castillo Gonzales was born on March 17, 1935 in the Boyle Heights section of Los Angeles, California, the eighth child born to Gabino and Pasquala Castillo. She was known to family and friends as Pat or Pati and to her grand-children as Nan. She worked for Los Angeles County Probation Department as a Community Worker for At Risk Kids. She retired after 30 years of service. 
 Patricia was known for her sharp wit and easy going personality. She loved to make jokes and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Anyone that knew Pat knew she always had a good story to tell and loved to hear the "chisme".  She loved to go on road trips up and down the California coast, neighboring states, and when the occasion called for it Puerto Nuevo and Tijuana.  While she loved to travel she was content to sit in the backyard and watch "her" hummingbirds feed on the flowers.
 After living in various locations throughout Los Angeles County she returned to Boyle Heights in the early 70's to reside in the Wyvernwood Garden Apartments for the next 30 years where she made many longtime friends.
She moved from Boyle Heights to Alhambra, California in the early 2000's where she enjoyed shopping and walking to the grocery store located conveniently nearby. Due to declining health Patricia moved to Azusa, California with her daughter Sandra and her family in 2006. There, carefully guarded by her loving daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons she spent her final years. 
 Patricia departed this life peacefully on May 7, 2012 in Azusa, California surrounded by those she loved most. 
She is preceded in death by her parents Gabino and Pasquala Castillo; brothers Gregory Gutierrez, Aristeo and Benito Castillo; sisters Manuela Aguilar and Guadalupe Salinas.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Peggy Carloss (James), Sandra Chacon (Ricardo Sr.); five grandchildren, Ricardo Carloss II (Rosie), Ricardo Chacon Jr. (Andrea), Jaimie Carloss, Christopher Chacon, Quincy Chacon; and five great-grandchildren, Ricardo Carloss III, Tylin Tran, Jayden Carloss, Evan Chacon and Makayla Carloss. She will be greatly missed and thought about daily.
