RIP Dear Friend Louie
Louie’s life was taken away too soon and it is hard to understand why things like this happen to such good people.  The loss of a dear friend, husband and father is incredibly sad.  Louie was my best friends (Eloisa) husband. It had been many years and miles since last being together but we never lost touch, just a phone call away.  I will miss hearing his voice when I would call their home, always happy with kind words and a hearty laugh.    Louie, I appreciate your friendship, you will always be a fond memory.  I will never forget you.    


Uncle Lou, when you would visit  Nonna’s house here in Phx, our family would sit around the table listening to stories you and Ellie shared. I felt your peaceful energies that radiate gentleness and love. You both have this effortless way of making an Italian table talk feel calm, as if there was nothing to worry about , that life was meant to be loved and lived. That the most important thing about life is togetherness. Thank you for sharing your peaceful soul with us and showing me Portillos pasta.  We are going to miss your smile.  We love you. 

Lou, my daughters are truly bless to have been able to meet you this summer. You and Ellie have given them an ever lasting memory of love and joy. I love you and all that you have brought into this world. I am so thankful to have been able to share such an amazing experience with you and Ellie in your home of positivity, love, and euphoric energy. Just watching you guys just love each other has given me hope to love and love to the fullest. I am so blessed to have such an extraordinary selfless soul to be watching over my family! I love you Lou! You will forever be in my heart, soul.

Thank you, Lou, for being such a big part of my childhood. I look back on the memories that I have of you, your kindness being a quality that made going over to Nana’s house fun. Riding in your souped-up cars as a kid was one of the coolest things. Even in recent times, the warmth that was present when we went to your home is something that my kids and I still remember and hold dear. When I was young, and pregnant with my firstborn, you and El both gave me needed love and support. I will always remember that. I know that I have my two uncles  that watch over my family and I from heaven. You will forever be in my heart and thoughts. My love to the family above!!!  Nancy

Louie has been my best friend for over 70 years. We always thought of each as family, brothers. As we grew up together I remember he was always the better student, dancer ( I can picture the moves ) , athlete and most of all my friend. I can not recall a single special moment in my life that did not include Lou, and that covers a lot of years. For a long time we were separated by thousands of miles , and now thinking back did not talk as often as we should have, the minute that I heard his voice it was as if we had just seen each other yesterday and were just catching up. I like many will miss the chance to have some new memories. 

As I write this rambling memorial I realize there are too many memories and not enough words to describe how I feel about his loss. But when I think of Lou it will bring a smile , because he always brought JOY to my life.

I just looked at that picture and I had to smile back.   Louie.... one of the kindest men I've ever known.  Never a harsh word, never an unkind action.  Life without your physical presence will be most difficult as you and Ellie were at every important event from my graduation to when I went and bought my first new car,  wedding,  at the hospital for each of the boys when they were born,  being at the hospital checking on Greg when he had surgery (and you weren't well yourself!).  You never put yourself first and I never heard you complain about anything.  Always ready to help.  Generous, kind, compassionate, sincere.  We can all learn from you.  Everything you did, you did with thought and precision.  Ever action you took was always positive.  Lucky me, to have such a wonderful brother in law.  The greater you were - the greater you are being missed and let me tell you - you are being missed a whole lot.  Ellie and Lauren have a difficult time ahead without you, but this family is strong and will look after each other.
