Juan Figueroa 6/23/40 - 2/5/19, beloved husband, father, and Tata has gone to Heaven. "Yes, we are fully confident , and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord" 2 Corinthians 5:8 (New Living Translation). He sacrificed all that he had and was, for his family. He came to this country over 48 years ago, as an illegal immigrant from La Vega, Mexico, in search of a better life for him and his family. Throughout his time here he was a model citizen, never even getting a speeding ticket, and eventually became a US Citizen himself. He was always known for his work ethic, there was never any task to difficult for him. He would never shy away from any type of work and ventured in many arenas, auto mechanic was his favorite, he was a gardener, worked in construction, a dish washer, a chef's assistant, and all he did with great fervor and passion. He always put forth his best effort as he knew that his character is what made him a great man.
He always put his family first, sacrificing everything so that they could have the best of what he could give, but more than that for them to have even greater opportunities. He would share stories about when he arrived in the US about how much he admired the cleanliness, the paved roads, the beauty all around, He would always send his wife money every week, not partaking in foolishness with the others as he knew the value of what he had earned and what the need was back in Mexico. He gave all so that his family could have all. He was a selfless man, who believed in working hard and honoring his family first and foremost.
He will be surely missed by his wife, Lucinda, four kids, Tina, Mabel, Benjamin, and Tony and nine grandkids, Ariel, Tiffany, Jillian, Sammy, Isabelle, Isaac, Ilias, Olive (Chiri), and Joaquin. There are no amount of words that could describe how great Juan was to us all and how much he will be missed. He was loved and loved others, he was always a joy to be around as he would often sing his favorite Pedro Infante songs in such a beautiful voice. He made friends everywhere he went, always engaging in conversations and being kind to others. He’d often irritate mom because he’d be long winded in his conversations, getting up extra early to go meet up with his buddies at the donut shop while mom waited in the car. It’s who he was, full of life, full of love. His wife, kids, grandkids and friends will carry him in their hearts until we are all reunited in Heaven.
John 14:14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
We are grateful for all that our Pa, did for us and at peace knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and that we knowing Jesus will one day be reunited with him and bask in the glory of the Lord and all that He has prepared for us in Heaven. 2 Peter 3:8 "8But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day." (New Living Translation).
So we will be reunited shortly Pa, we love and miss you so much.
