“Jimmy”
On the evening of January 19th, 2014, Jimmy passed away at Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, California as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident that evening. He was 48 years old.
Jimmy was born in the city of Glendora in Los Angeles County, California on June 30th, 1965. He was the first of two children, and their only son, born to Darlene Diane and James Fredrick Holliday, Jr.
Those that knew Jimmy best described him as a person who was supportive to everyone. He would be there in a moments notice to help out any friend or family member with a smile on his face. That smile lit up the room and was contagious to so many. He was a great listener too. Jimmy was never too busy for anybody and remembered to always give you a call on your birthday.
As a child, Jimmy loved to ride dirt bikes, go to the shooting range, fish, hunt, and was involved in scouts. In scouts, he earned his Eagle Scout Award and was a member of The Order of the Arrow. As he got older, he loved to talk with others on the CB (Citizens Band) Radio and go on the “Fox Hunts.” His handle was the Pinto Kid 665. He also attended Red Dragon Karate Studio and earned his brown belt. At one point, he was a member of The Vigilantes, a cowboy quick draw group. In the last decade, his favorite thing to do was to ride his Harley! He loved that bike and going on runs and belonging to bike clubs. His favorite part of being in the clubs was participating in the charitable events and the camaraderie. He was the Slow Ride Champion for several years. For his profession, he was a truck driver. He loved to travel the open road.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents and great uncle as well as close friends. He is survived by his parents, Darlene and James Holliday Jr., a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Mark Aggers, niece, Meranda, nephew, Conner, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
