Tia Lupe. Your smile and laugh is the first thing that I go to when I think about you. The way you were always such strong person was something I admired. You raised a son by yourself and never backed down from anything or anyone. You are a mountain strength. But with the chain of memories that sink in my mind they always end with one golden link that moved me and continues to move me to this day. Seeing your concern with my Lyme disease diagnosis and you walking towards me before leaving one afternoon in Pomona, reaching out to help me in anyway that you could. You would not take no for an answer. When you smiled and walked away with your son and daughter in law after I agreed to accept your aid I couldn’t help but feel so much love from you. An overwhelming love that I’m not use to from anyone. You are a mountain of strength. That is certain. But you are also a deep ocean of nurturing love. The waves of which I felt that day and will continue to feel always. 

I love you. I miss you. And thank you. 

Tia la vamos a extrañar tanto! Gracias por siempre recibirnos con los brazos abiertos, por siempre estar al pendiente de nosotros aunque estuviéramos lejos. Gracias por tantas sonrisas y tantas aventuras. Gracias por tanto amor para mis hijas también. Un abrazo fuerte hasta el cielo! La queremos mucho y siempre estará en nuestro corazón. 🤍

Guadalupe Castaneda, was very special to me. For the simple reason of being there and very supportive of accepting an outsider as of one of her own. Just like many of her fellow Castanedas she welcomed me in open arms not only did she gave me her blessing but showed me that I was in fact part of her family. I developed a very unique connection with her, I enjoyed every hello or goodbye with a small kiss on her forehead as she would smile and embrace me. I’ve always told my wife Liset Castaneda since the first time I met her godmother that those two were identical. They’ve always had the same aura and I loved seeing how much they loved one another.  We have lost a beautiful loving soul, but we have also gained a beautiful loving guardian angel 🙏🏾

Muchas gracias por cuidar a mi y mis hermanos desde chiquitos. Le quiero decir de que cada ves cuando nos hacia de comer de chiquitos y Saul y Hugo no querian comer su comida... Yo me lo comi por Ellos!   Es la verdad. Pero lo que me encanto mucho de lo que me dio de comer es algo muy simple que hasta hoy todavia como. Frijoles con caldo, crema, queso fresco y tortilla a lado! Muy Rico!! Cada ves que me como eso, pienso en usted y en el future siguire hablando de usted. La Amo Tia, ya se que anda feliz con nuestro Dios Jesus Cristo!

Mi bañista siempre va estar aquí para ti tía 🤍 you were the first one who knew I was lactose intolerant and you saved me with lactose milk ❤️‍🩹 I will always remember the times we went on the métrolink and explored a part of LA with you Tia forever and always in my heart. The time you bought me a burger and fries and we went walking to the 99 cent store and ran across the street will forever stick with me because not only did you teach me to bring your bag to the store you taught me that life is precious and always had a bright and beautiful smile for every little dumb thing I would say like if I would know it all.  The time you picked me up from the elementary school with my mom and I ran to hug you because I missed you will forever be  with me. Till we meet again tia ❤️

Hermana, te voy a extrañar mucho. Gracias por todo lo que vivimos como hermanas,  te quiero mucho. Descansa en paz. 

Voy a recodar este foto con mucho cariño porque fue el día que me invitó a comer una hamburguesa de In & Out.  Se le va extrañar mucho tía, usted siempre va ocupar un lugar especial en mi vida y en mi corazón!

Mi Querida Dona Lupe, me entristece saber que no esta aqui con nosotros pero se que ahora usted esta con Dios y los Angelitos. Muchas gracias por siempre brindarme una gran amistad, por todas las platicas y risas que tuvimos y sobre todo por el gran carino que me tuvo. La voy a extranar muchisimo pero se que algun dia nos volveremos a ver. Que en paz descanse Dona Lupe. 

Lupe perder a una amiga que era casi como mi hermana es un golpe muy duro que he tenido que soportar. Cada vez que necesitaba tu apoyo podía contar contigo. Siempre te extrañaré. Te quiero mucho. Con amor Myriam
