He was raised in Nayarit, Mexico and in his early adulthood he then moved to the United States in the 1950’s.
Once in the US he found work as a gravesite digger and later landed a job in a factory doing upholstery work where he learned to master this craft. It was there where he met his wife Susana Rodriguez Sanchez which he persistently pursued until she finally went out with him. They married and later had a family of seven children.
With his business mind and upholstery skills he was determined to open his own upholstery shop and so he did and called it S & C Upholstery where he succeeded with customers from all over Los Angeles County. He also opened and managed a cantina bar.
After retiring, Felix and Susana relocated to Tijuana, Mexico where they purchased a home, some properties and he opened and managed a plumbing store.
Felix loved golfing, going to the horse races, listening to his music, being with family and friends and drinking his favorite tequila; just enjoying life. He proudly provided for his family and would take them out on weekend trips and summer vacations.
Felix was known as a businessman, ambitious, gentle, kind, and to some as “El Tigere”, he was loved and respected by many.
Felix is survived by his wife of 65 years, Susana R. Cuevas, his seven children – Leticia Fenton, Cecilia Ambrose, Jose Luis Cuevas, Carlos Cuevas, Susana Washington, Felix Cuevas, Alicia Barbosa; sons-in-law, Michael Ambrose, John Fenton, Eddie Barbosa, Matthew Washington and daughter in law Luky Cuevas; nine grandchildren – Christopher Ambrose, Alexsis Cuevas,
