Dorothy Elizabeth (Etgen) Behr

Dorothy Elizabeth Behr, also known as Dot, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, at the age of 83 in West Covina, CA. She was born on April 25, 1940, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, USA, to Leroy and Verdean (Kantner) Etgen. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister, Rita Howell, and her brother, James Etgen.

Dot had a successful career in accounting, dedicating over 60 years to the field. She co-owned and operated several family businesses throughout her life. Dot was a graduate of Bloom High School.

In her free time, Dot loved to work, travel, dance, listen to music, and spend time with her family and friends. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished every moment.

Dot was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Covina, CA, where she worshipped.

Dot is survived by her loving husband, Albert J. Behr, her sons Albert (Linda) Behr, and Arnie (Roxie) Behr her daughters Doreen (John) Mucci, Dawn (Adam) Sparks, Dena (Paul) South. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jonathan (Erene) Behr, Julie (Justin) Sturdivant, Donielle (Josh) Leavitt, Gabrielle (Tyler) Biley, Eric Behr, Dakota Behr, Trevor (Susan) Behr, Mason (Cassidy) Behr, Cassidy Behr, Alexandra Sparks, Katherine Sparks, Jordan South, Haley South, Jeret South, and her great-grandsons Pierce, Blake, Cade, Braden, Jace, and Tate, and her great-granddaughter Dorothy Elizabeth, as well as her sister Donna (Fritz) Gerstner.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Oakdale Memorial, located at 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. Following the memorial service, a graveside service will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Oakdale Memorial Park, also located at 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.

A reception will be held immediately following the service at the residence of Arnie and Roxie Behr, 2738 E. Vanderhoof Dr., West Covina, CA 91791
