David, you have certainly touched so many people who were fortunate to have met you, who became friends, and who felt safe and comfortable enough to listen and to smile when you shared your thoughts.  .  . so glad you came into our lives. 🥰🎶 So glad your maman & papa shared you with us! 😘

It’s hard to believe you’re gone, I will cherish the memories and laughs we had together... and all those times we stayed up late watching movies in the back room on Rainbow Dr. You were a special friend that I’ll never forget. God bless you and may you rest in peace. My deepest sympathy to Francois and Karen Cocordan.

Wow man it has taken a long time for me to write something.  its hard to put everything about us into words. 

David you were my first friend in glendora we were inseparable. we had a few other members of our group but it was always you, I and Jason.   my home life wasn't very good and in retrospect i see that your mom and dad probably recognized it and let me stay over there pretty much every weekend.  so much of my childhood revolves around the things you and i did at your house i hardly have a recollection of my childhood that does not involve you and i.  even now i dream of a time when we would watch the bootleg vhs copy of indian jones. in your living room.   in the days before your parents remodeled the house. 

i remember a time when you and i went to toys r us to find a toy i saw and i ran and hid it and you told your parents to leave me there if i didnt tell you where it was.  

all these years brother i never stopped thinking of you. i know you had your own problems but just know that you and your family were so instrumental in my life that its hard to have a day go by and not think of you all. 

I miss you man.  i am sorry for not being a better friend to you when you could have used a friend. i truly could have done more.

I remember the great time David and I had when we went to prom together with some of his friends. During the limo ride, I kept wondering how he knew so much about politics and current events. We had fun debates to and from prom.

Mom, Tony, and I also remember all the love and loyalty you showed David. You are the type of parents that every child deserves. 

Because of Covid-19, we can't physically be with you, but our hearts join with you in a way that only hearts can in times of sadness and tragedy to offer love and comfort. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

David, you will always be my oldest friend, and will always be one of the smartest and funniest people I will ever know.   So many of my greatest memories, and most memorable moments have you, and your family, in starring roles.  We grew up together, like family. 

Still to his day, I have never waited as long to see a movie as I did with you and your parents to see Star Wars (The Empire Strikes Back?)  You always had a way of making me smile, and laugh, and think.  And to do things even today I’d think were crazy. :-)

You often spoke of things greater and bigger than what we knew to be here on earth, and were the first to introduce me to anything to do with cosmology, as far back as high school, or even earlier.

I hope that the life you find yourself in after this one is truly worthy of all I know you have to offer it.

Tu resteras toujours présent dans ma vie avec tout ce que tu m’as offert, appris et partagé.

L’avenir a le pouvoir de nous éloigner physiquement, mais il n’a pas la force de me priver de ce que j’ai reçu de toi. L'amour d'un cousin, la complicité d'un ami, l'affection d'un grand frère. Quand nous étions ensemble tu étais un peu tout cela à la fois.

Rien, non rien ne peut altérer ce que nous avons vécu de beau ensemble.

Tu es parti, mais tu habites toujours mon coeur…

 When I think of David I see the handsome young man in the family Christmas cards. And I remember his sweetness and intelligence during that unexpected visit to New York. His life was much too short yet he will always have a place in my memory and in my heart. 

I remember David as a child, always smiling and happy.  And then I remember him as a teenager when I would visit with my own children who were several years younger and David took them both swimming and entertained them.  He was so caring with them.  Condolences to Karen and Francois who were kind, caring parents to David, always looking out for David's welfare.    I am so sad for them and send my love and care to them as they remember David.  

Toute la famille Viguier se joint à moi pour vous envoyer nos sincères condoléances. Nous avons de bons souvenirs de David à Mourenx ou à Port Leucate où il avait aimé faire du ski nautique avec nous. Nous pensons à vous et sommes présents près de vous par la pensée.

David was family. We loved him, we laughed with him, we listened to him, we ate and drank with him, we celebrated with him and we will miss him. He had the love, care and support of the best parents anyone could ask for.  Rest in peace, David. You were loved!
Father in Heaven, be with Karen and François,  and comfort their aching hearts. Wrap your loving arms around them and use us to cheer them up. In Jesus' name, AMEN!

David was friendly, often smiling when he greeted me. Karen and Francois were the penultimate examples of friendliness and compassion. By their example, David absorbed his parents ways of being in the world. 
David was also witty. He would often tack on a humorous remark to situations that we were discussing during dinner at the house. His remarks could liven things up.
Karen and Francois honored David by taking care of his every need throughout his life. He could not have had more loving, sacrificing parents. 
May David rest in eternal peace and love.

David was so loved by my parents, Dick and Edy Griggs.  I regularly received notes and comments about the adventures you all shared when he was growing up.  She was so honored to be his Godmother. 
 I can only imagine the greeting that mom gave David as he entered the gates.  May God bless you both as you grieve the loss of your beloved son.  My prayers are with you.

When David was born, my parents called us and were so excited with the wonderful news; we all were thrilled for Karen and François. David  was clever and thoughtful, full of energy and often overly sensitive to others. He knew he was loved and cared for by so many people he met, but, of course, his parents loved him the longest and adored him before he'd arrived. Knowing he is not with us physically doesn't change the love we have for him and his dear family.  I always looked forward to seeing them all when Mike and I were able to get to SoCal together for a visit, a dinner, a luau, or whatever was planned. David will always remain in our hearts and in our memories. I will miss his laughter and smile. We send our deepest sympathy, Nancy and Mike

I will miss my cousin David also.  He was a very creative and imaginary soul. He shown love to me many times. He will be missed. He is in peace now with the Lord. 


We are David's Aunt and Uncle and had the pleasure of watching him grow up.

We didn't see much of David when he went away to college.  But we always enjoyed his visits at our family get togethers.

He will be sorely missed.

I miss my cousin David very much , he always was creative and could remember things so instantly and I'm sure remembered and thought fondly of all the great times and fun times with all his friends , family and loved ones . Love and peace to you all , and David .   

I am very sorry to hear about David's passing.  He was a good friend for many years through middle school, high school, college and beyond and I have many fond memories of my times with David and his parents.

I was very close friends with David in elementary school. I have fond memories of a childhood filled with adventures with David. From swimming to shooting our own sci-fi movies in his back yard. We explored the orange groves of Glendora looking for trolls and fought storm troopers on the playgrounds of LaFetra (he was always Han Solo). His parents were amazing people and I am very sorry for their loss.

I have so many great memories of David from High School and conversations after.  He was a friend.  My prayers for his Parents.  I remember going skiing with David and his father.  Thank You for our memories.
