Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Danny is survived by his wife, Michelle; children Cadence and Carter; stepchildren Hope, Drew, and Cody;
siblings Michelle, Jason, Jamie, Kathleen, and Kimberly;
and his parents Rick and Judy Gorden, and Bill and Marcia Norsworthy.
Danny’s hobbies were biking, running,skate boarding,snowboarding and just
about anything outdoors. Danny successfully walked the 39-mile, 2 day
“Avon Walk for Breast Cancer” with his sister Kathleen back in 2013 and 2016
in Santa Barbara. Danny road the “100-mile America’s Most Beautiful Bike
Ride” around Lake Tahoe with his cousin Jonathon in 2010 and multiple other 100-mile centuries.
He tried just about everything, from early endeavors like landscaping, working in a high-
speed automation manufacturing plant to settling down to teach at Diamond Bar High School.
His passion for the drums has always prevailed. In his early years, he got to
play the drums on one song at a Junior High School concert. Danny joined
the marching band at Charter Oak High School, where he played the
saxophone for 4 years. Then onto Citrus College to play percussion
throughout his tenure. Danny then went on to play with various Choir Groups
and bands. Danny was always available to jump in when needed when it
came to performing.
His final passion was his lighting business called Glo-Lighting which specializes
in holiday and special event lighting. He grew the business with just starting
out with only 30 plus houses, to a staggering 130 plus houses this past holiday
season.
His children, Cadence and Carter were gifts from God. He made sure to be a
part of their lives as often as he could. Danny was a true believer and a
follower of Jesus Christ and, we as a family believe, he is now at peace with
the Father.
