Andrea Dominguez was born on January 5, 1937 in Silao, Guanajuato to Maria Soledad Perez Amaro and Cirilo Reynoso Amaro. Andrea passed away on December 13, 2017 at the age of 80 at Citrus Valley Hospice, West Covina, California.
Andrea moved to San Dimas, California in 1950 at the age of 13. She worked at Monrovia Nursery in Azusa and met her husband to be, John (Sonny) Dominguez Sr. They married on July 14, 1956 and raised their five children on Dominguez Place in Azusa. John (Sonny) passed away on February 9, 2011.
Andrea devoted her life to caring for her family. She volunteered often in her children’s classrooms at Lee Elementary School during all the years her children attended school. She was an excellent cook and everyone loved to gather at her home and enjoy delicious meals. Andrea enjoyed listening to Mariachi music and singing along while doing her housework. She crocheted beautiful Christmas gifts for her children and grandchildren.
Andrea was preceded in death by six brothers, Salvador, Cirilo Jr, Ted, Jose Cruz, Joaquin (Jake), and Joe Amaro. She is survived by her children Sonny (Elaine) Dominguez, Joe Dominguez Sr., Gloria Martinez, Maria (Roddy) Rocha, and Diana Dominguez. Andrea was a loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren; Daniel (Theresa) Dominguez, Lorraine Dominguez, Joseph Jr. (Glorya) Dominguez, Steven Dominguez, Rachel Dominguez, Alexandra Martinez, Armando Martinez Jr., Candace Treto and Michael Martinez.
Andrea had eight great grandchildren; Yvette, Emily, Naomi, Jadon, Elijah, Damien, Freddy and baby Juliette Andrea.
Andrea is also survived by her loving sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, comadres and compadres, Godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
