We will never forget the impact of Mr. Williams for our children Angelye Zamor 6 grade currently and Jasmine Zamor 10th grade .He embraced them. 6 years ago into the school . He always supported them and proud of what they have accomplished from participating in the 2014 Miss New York Teen Pageant and US figure skating. He always listened to any concerns and was happy to talk to us . He loved the school and children and most importantly was a witness to Jesus Christ as Lord and promoted his kingdom. As the bible says , although. Mr.  Williams is absent in the body with us , he is present with the Lord in spirit in Heaven. Mrs. Williams,  Jason Williams and Family be at Peace and Comforted knowing The Lord is with You and will never leave you..continue your mission as Mr. Williams did honoring the most High God at Redeemer Lutheran School/Church..

To the man who saw something special in me from the moment I walked into his school and allowed me to stay the day and sub in one of his classes, to the man who made me feel confident and comfortable enough to walk right up to him in front of the Cvs and ask for a permanent position, to the man who believed in me and my ability to lead two grades in his school without any doubt or hesitation, to the man who’s voice would fill our school with comfort and peace each and every morning....

It’s hard to believe what a rollercoaster ride this past year has been.  Even though he was ill and couldn’t make it in each day, he made it in to see us every day that he could.  He loved his students so much. I will miss hearing his conversations with the kids as he passed them in the hallway.  I will miss passing by his office and hearing him say “how’s your day going Gabrielle?” I will miss hearing him stop his announcements because he’s answering one of the first graders across the hall from his office.  

We will miss you but you have given us so much to remember. Rest In Peace Mr. Williams. Our leader, our friend ❤️

I remember growing up and attending St. Matthew Lutheran School. For many years, Mr. Williams was the only African American teacher that I had in my life. He is a great man who loved teaching and loved his students. He was my basketball coach and lived an example of faith, professionalism, commitment, caring and service before me that has impacted my life. I am so sorry to read that he has transitioned to be with our heavenly Father.  Although it was my hope to see him again later this year, Mr. Williams is in a much better place. I thank God for placing Mr. Michael Williams in my life and in the lives of so many others. My prayers are offered up continually for his family and I thank them for sharing Mr. Williams with the rest of us.

I am so blessed that you gave me my first opportunity to be a classroom teacher. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today.  Your smile and your kind heart will always be what I remember most. You will forever be missed, and in my heart. I thank you for being a great inspiration to me, and everyone. God has gained another Angel, but you will always have a place in my heart. Sleep in eternal peace.

I remember the first time I met Mr. Williams and was greeted with a warm smile and firm handshake. I knew right away that this was the place for my daughter.  He was dedicated and caring and filled with such a glorious spirit. Jaiyla and I will remember the foundation you started in our lives. Forever you will live in our hearts.

Michael, you truly were and always be an amazing man to me. You found no wrong in anyone. You never judged anyone. I am honored to have known you as my boss, coworker, principal to my daughter, and my friend.

We are grateful to God for Mr. Williams’  life. We had the honor to know him for the last 11years of our life when we become part of the Redeemer Lutheran School family. He has been a blessing to us. Luigi, Sergio and Matteo describe him as a nice , respectful, kind and a trust worthy person. We are going to miss him daily. Our family is keeping the Williams’ family and friends in our thought and prayers.

You can't say enough about the man. I remember being on the Education Committee when we hired Mr. Williams, it was a GREAT night for the school, the church and Glendale. That was 20 years ago and since then we have all been blessed for getting to work and spend time with Mr. Williams and to meet his wife Michelle. To me they are 2 of the nicest people I have ever met. May the good LORD bless them and their families always. 

I can't say how thankful I am for Mr. Williams being my principal from 5th to 8th grade.  He was a real blessing in my life. Though I graduated, I was always happy to see him when I visited Redeemer, and it warmed my heart when he told me and made me feel that I was always welcomed. Mr. Williams, thank you. I will always remember you <3.

My father was devoted to his faith, family, friend and his profession.  His passing came too soon and sudden, however in his time with us he was able to shine brightly and be impactful in so many peoples lives. Rest in heaven dad. I miss and love you.

I have known Michael C. Williams since I moved to Glendale over 20 years ago and we became neighbors.  Mr. Williams was an outstanding neighbor always willing to lend a helping hand, or give some thoughtful advice.  Mr. Williams was an exemplary individual who will be dearly missed by the community.  I would like to offer his family my deepest and most sincere condolences.



Mr. Williams was my 4th Grade teacher at St. Matthew Lutheran School. We were a close-knit family because the school was small. I have fond memories of Mr. Williams and I am sad to hear of his passing. God bless Michelle and the entire family. Prayers for you at this time. May God continue to give you comfort.

Mr. Willams and I got along great. We would talk about football in the hallway. Go redskins! Let them have a good draft. I didn't think the memories would come to an end so soon, but I  guess this is it. It is all in God's plan.  I'll miss you Mr. Williams. 

Quite a few years ago, when Michael was a patient at Lenox Hill Hospital with a very long convalescence from a serious condition, I was the hospital chaplain who ministered to him.  Although I had been acquainted with Michael before, it was there in the hospital, when his life hung in the balance and in the days thereafter,  that I had the privilege of getting to know him better through our almost daily talks and prayers---know and admire him as a man of great faith, strong character and exceptional graciousness.    I am saddened to hear that he has now left us, but rejoice to know that he lives and walks with the Lord "who loved him and gave Himself for him" in the Kingdom of Light,  the Lord he loved and served so wonderfully throughout his life. 

I will remember Mr. Williams as such a wonderful person who took time to teach his students and made sure that they learned the material! I had him as my homeroom teacher and my math teacher in the 80’s. My deepest sympathy to his family and there are nothing but fond memories of such a gentleman. Thinking of you at this time Mr. Williams all the way from Maryland... Rest In Peace 💕
