John George Eddy, of Ridgewood; passed away on August 16th 2015 at 89 years of age. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Eddy served aboard the U.S.S. Octavia, in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. John was the beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Johnson) and loving father of Patricia, Denise Joyce, James and the late Arthur. He was the dearest grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 9. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Thursday (August 20th) 10:15am at Saint Matthias R.C. Church. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery (Long Island, NY)
