We are so sorry to hear about George, we met sitting next to each other in church, first mass on Sunday Morning at Our Lady of Loretto Church. He was such a good man, always hugged my Mom who will be 100 in Oct. We moved from Aurora and he sent us a postcard from New York that he was not taking his trip to Ireland and would be coming home sooner as he wasn't feeling well. We never saw him again or could find any information on him. I was sorting paperwork and found his return address. I had a last name to search. Our condolences and prayers go to his family. I was sadden to hear about the passing of George. I just found out today! George is now with my late husband, Don who passed away on Feb. 26, 2009. Don thought the world of George and now I am sure that are comparing firemen stories! May Susan and Matt find peace, comfort, and the strength to move on! Susan, Michael, and Mark Carringi

Recently learned of the passing of George.  To me as well as many, he was a mentor and greatly influenced me in becoming a civil servant. I hope I can say I accomplished as much as George or tell as good a story.  He was a fine man, an example to all. I'm certain heaven is a safer place because of George.

What a fine man went to Heaven last week. We will always have George in our hearts. He was a good friend, we both cared deeply about. Our heartfelt sympathy to George's family.

Our deepest Sympathy to all of George's family and friends. George was a good man who gave of himself to help those in need. He was a fine example of a Lakewood Elk and all the Elks stand for. He will be deeply missed and always remembered. We pray that George is at peace.

George was in a class of hero's that were larger than life. Most people can't even imagine the things George has seen and done in his lifetime. The stories and memories will live on forever.

God Bless the family of Chief George Goldbach.  I will always remember George as my mentor, friend and fellow firefighter.  George made into the firefighter that I am today.  I will always remember George as a man of high morals, ethics and values.  I loved his laugh, his smile and his knowledge.  George was always going out of his way to help anybody in need.  My Mother was a part of the board that assisted in hiring George at Red Rocks Community College.  Thanks George for sharing all you knowledge with me. Chief Goldbach was a visionary and created the foundation for making West Metro Fire Rescue the outstanding fire department that it is today.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.  My sympathy and prayers go out to the Goldbach family.

George was one of the finest people that I have had the privilege to know.

To The Family of George Goldbach....I wish you peace as you experience the loss of your dad.  I only knew George a short time...I met him by bringing him Holy Communion from Our Lady of Loreto Parish.  In this short time, I came to realize what a kind and gentle man he was.  He spoke lovingly and fondly of his family members, and he also spoke caringly about all the great firefighters he had come to know over the years....may the Lord welcome him into His kingdom.
