Passed away on Saturday February 13, 2016 in Glendale with family by her side. Born to Dwight and Vida Chenault in October 1918 at their family home in El Paso Texas, she moved to California, serving the County of San Bernardino as a County Clerk and eventually moving to the Los Angeles area in 1995. Prior to Joining the United States Navy to serve in WW II in 1942, she received her Bachelors degree and acted as an Air Traffic Controller for the Navy , and honorably discharged in June, 1948. Rose was active with The Baptist Tabernacle church in Los Angeles. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survived by her daughter Rosemary Sterner (Ronald), daughter Patricia Baur (Ken), daughter Joanne Riggs (Joe), and son David Quinn (Trina). Rose has 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A special recognition thankfully goes out to Dr. Kreighton Chan MD, who was Roses' Pastor, as well as Personal physician, and friend. Rose always put her children and her faith first. Please join family and friends at a celebration of her life, on Saturday February 27th., 2016 beginning with short visitation from 2:15 PM until services begin at 3:00 P.M. in Los Angeles at her home church The Baptist Tabernacle 1329 S. Hope Street Los Angeles, CA 90015. Burial will follow the next week at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside with Full Military Honors. The family wishes to acknowledge gratefully, in advance, all those who have supported the family during this difficult time, and will show their support by attendance at her services, or perhaps a kind thought and prayer.
