Miguel Torres

Miguel Torres was born in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán on July 7, 1940 to Augustin Torres and Trinidad Morales. He had 7 siblings. From his father's 1st marriage, Gabriel, Dolores (Lola), Venancia, Carlos and Jose (Pepe). His widowed father's second marriage brought forth 3 additional children, Raul, Miguel (himself) and Salvador (Chavo).

Miguel lost his father at the tender age of 9 years old and had to trade in his schooling for work to help provide for his widowed mother.

Miguel would move from his native state of Michoacán to Mexico City, Mexico in pursuit of work along with his mother and brothers. Unbeknown to him, he would soon meet the only love of his life, Francisca Marquez. Although, their courtship would only last 3 months, their marriage would last 54 years!

Their marriage brought forth 3 children.

Soon after, Miguel, Francisca and their 3 children would move to the United States, California, in the San Fernando Valley in 1973.

Miguel and his beloved wife, "Francis" as he would call her, worked hard to provide for their family and instill morals & values.

In spite of both good times and bad times they always managed to come out ahead and be an example to their children, family and friends.

All who knew Miguel knew he was a very funny man, who always had a joke to spare and always made one laugh. He also, loved to sing and dance, especially, with his beloved wife.

He was a hardworking and intelligent man with only a 3rd grade education.

There was a tender side to Miguel that only a few were fortunate to see, as his beloved wife would say, "Miguel is a good man"... and who would know this best then his wife.

Yet, the best legacy he leaves behind is his Faith! He truly loved our Lord and Blessed Mother Mary. He also loved praying the rosary in the morning before he would start his day.

He knew that once this life would end that the best was yet to come.

Knowing Miguel, he chose the best, our Lord...

and to be reunited once again with his beloved wife, "Francis".

Miguel was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, father in law, uncle and a friend...

He leaves behind his 3 children, Miguel, Adriana and Carmen.

A son in law Derwin, a daughter in law Angie and a grandson in law Juan.

To include his 11 grandchildren, Richard, Miguel Jr., Frances, Augustin, Jazzmin, Derwin Jr., Jessika, Jaden, Melissa, Isaac and Judith,

3 great grandchildren, Andrew, Steven and Emma.

Miguel, you will be greatly missed...

Miguel Torres nació en Pátzcuaro, Michoacán en Julio 7, 1940, hijo de Agustín Torres y Trinidad Morales. El tuvo 7 hermanos. Del primer matrimonio de su padre, Gabriel, Dolores (Lola), Venancia, Carlos y Jose (Pepe). El segundo matrimonio de su viudo padre produjo 3 hijos adicionales, Raúl, Miguel (él mismo) y Salvador (Chavo).

Miguel perdió a su padre a la tierna edad de 9 años y tuvo que cambiar su escuela por trabajo para ayudar a mantener a su viuda mama.

Miguel se mudaría de su estado natal de Michoacán a la Ciudad de México, México en busca de trabajo con su mama y hermanos. Sin saberlo, pronto conocería al único amor de su vida, Francisca Márquez. Aunque su noviazgo solo duraría 3 meses, ¡su matrimonio duraría 54 años!

Su matrimonio produjo 3 hijos.

Al poco tiempo, Miguel, Francisca y sus 3 hijos se mudarían a los Estados Unidos, California, en el Valle de San Fernando en 1973.

Miguel y su amada esposa, "Francis" como él la llamaría, trabajaron duro para mantener a su familia e inculcar los morals y valores.

A pesar de los buenos y malos momentos, siempre lograron salir adelante y ser un ejemplo para sus hijos, familiares y amigos.

Todos los que conocieron a Miguel sabían que era un hombre muy chistoso, que siempre tenía un chiste de sobra y siempre hacía reír. También le encantaba cantar y bailar, especialmente con su amada esposa.

Era un hombre trabajador e inteligente con solo una educación de 3er grado.

Había un lado tierno de Miguel que solo unos pocos tuvieron la fortuna de ver, como diría su amada esposa, "Miguel es un buen hombre", y quién lo sabría mejor que su esposa.

Sin embargo, ¡el mejor legado que deja es su Fe!

Él amaba verdaderamente a nuestro Señor y a la Santísima Virgen María. También le encantaba rezar el rosario por la mañana antes de empezar su día.

El ya sabía que una vez que esta vida terminaría, lo mejor estaba por venir.

Conociendo a Miguel, el escogió lo mejor, a nuestro Señor...

y reunirse una vez más con su amada esposa, "Francis".

Miguel fue padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano, suegro, tio y amigo...

Deja atrás a sus 3 hijos, Miguel, Adriana y Carmen.

Un yerno Derwin Sr., una yerna Angie y un nieto yerno Juan.

Incluyendo a sus 11 nietos y nietas, Richard, Miguel Jr., Frances, Augustin, Jazzmin, Derwin Jr., Jessika, Jaden, Melissa, Isaac y Judith.

3 bisnietos y bisnieta, Andrew, Steven y Emma.

Miguel, lo vamos a extrañar mucho...
