Zachary Harlan Sexton

Zachary (Zack) Harlan Sexton, age 36, of Peoria passed away January 5, 2023. He was born in Glendale, Arizona on May 20, 1986. He was born with a mild case of Spina Bifida and was told he would never walk, let alone run without the aid of braces. By God’s grace, Zack learned to walk and run, only using braces until the age of four. At age eighteen Zack suffered kidney failure, setting off an almost twenty year ordeal that included a kidney transplant, many surgeries, and years of dialysis. Though Zack had many health struggles in his life, he never complained and was well loved by those he met, including many doctors and techs that cared for Zack over the years. Zack loved listening to music, watching cooking shows, going to the local coffee shop, and wearing hats from his extensive hat collection. Zack had a strong faith in God and often referenced looking forward to being absent from his body, but being present with the Lord. Zack is survived by his parents, Jerry Sexton and Kimberley Sexton, his sisters, Sarah (Justin) Freswick, and Rachel (Justin) Hayes; as well as nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
