He was born in Whitesboro, Texas on September 10, 1933 to the late Elijah and Ovaletta Mills.
Bill married Maxine in 1949. They shared 41 years of marriage prior to her death in 1990.
He loved going to the casinos; even after he was confined to a wheelchair his daughters made sure to take him so he could have an enjoyable time.
Bill is survived by two daughters Carolyn (Dennis) Barger and Charlette (Jim) Whitney, sister Virginia (Jerry) Siepel, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Leonard.
A graveside service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11AM at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale.
