Thank you Papa for being such an amazing person. I miss you so much and it’s been so long since I’ve seen you that you probably wouldn’t recognize me anymore. I wish you well in heaven. Thank you for the memories as a kid. Thank you for taking me and my cousins out to the movies all the time to spend time with you. I will always have that sweet memory of you. It breaks my heart that I don’t remember that last time I saw you. Forgive me for not visiting you more often Papa. I love you so much. Rest peacefully. 

On Christmas night some years ago I gave you a gift card to Claim Jumper because it was your favorite, and a nice tie that I thought you would like. You said "I haven't gotten a tie in so long! Where am I going to wear it?". I told you whenever you want, so you decided you'd wear it to my wedding. It really hurts to know you'll never be able to wear it/go to my wedding when I do get married; hurts that you won't be in my future from now on. But still, I'll always save you a seat because you're Papa, the best grandpa, and I love you. I already miss your hugs, the pats on the back, your unconditional love. 

Thank you for everything you are: just a fun-filled, warm and loving Papa. 

I miss you Papa.

I remember the times when we were younger and you'd take us to the theater  to see the latest movies, we saw so many and ate so much popcorn thanks to you and grandma. I also loved looking over at grandma just to see her asleep most of the time but claim that she really enjoyed the movie. I glad that we still went to the movies over the years, but now they were more action packed ones, which I knew you loved.  I miss coming down stairs and you'd be there watching NCIS in the living room, every time it was on. It was so adorable when you were knocking on my door to show me your suit with your signature Hawaiian shirt underneath for grandma and yours anniversary. I couldn't help but take a photo, you even posed a bit for me. Thank you for not only taking care of us over the years but also taking us out on so many adventures, they were all very memorable + so much fun and I'll treasure them always. 

We all love you and miss you Papa.

Dad,
When I got a call from Mom at 4:00 in the morning on July 24th I had no idea that I would never see you again. In my mind I was thinking next month, in August, I would see you for your birthday. I would call you and wish you a happy and wonderful birthday. I knew you were sick but I kept thinking you would still be with us for a long time.  Every day I prayed for you to get over your sickness and get better. But I guess heaven had a different plan for you. I wish I could have been there for you.  I wish I have magic to make your heart better and you would be with us for a long time. But I guess God has a plan for you. I couldn’t breathe when I heard the news that you passed away at 2:00. If it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t be here. You are the kindest person I know. You took care of mom and us until now. We owe you so so much. Thank you for being the best dad, the best grandpa, and the best person in the world. We all love you and miss you today and forever.

I loved taking morning walks with Papa. He always shared memories of Grandma and their travels. He shared a lot of memories from when he was in the Navy and showed me all of his memorabilia.
 Papa, I miss holding your hand and watching football with you. I miss us walking in sync on our walks around the neighborhood. I miss our morning coffee together and our ice cream after dinner. 
Thank you for always being open-minded and loving. Thank you for always loving me unconditionally. Thank you for always being so understanding. You’ll forever hold a special place in my heart.

Papa, one of the greatest man I have ever met. I can only speak to the ladder part of your life, where you have been my grandpa, and after your very honorable accomplishments retiring from the navy seal. I had the best childhood growing up in a house full of my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It really brings us closer together. I would remember you getting to eat from the biggest plastic tub of ice cream on your bed while watching tv, and you taking out your dentures and me wondering what they were. At Christmas time you and grandma would take us to toysrus and we would get to choose a gift! One year grandma made us gift you shampoo and cologne, then you asked us if we thought you smelled.  You would give us $1 or $2 for every ‘A ‘ that we got on our report card. We would go with you to your restaurant ‘The Club’ and get to play golf or ride around on the golf cart. You are the greatest grandpa.
Thank you to you and grandma for bringing our parents and family to America for a better life - we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to get the education, successes, and live ‘the American dream’ we have today without you. I hope we have made you proud. Most of all, thank you for loving us and especially our grandma. You give her your everything and selflessly try to make her happy in every way. After all these years, your affection and kisses you give her seem still the same since when you two were younger. I will miss your chuckles and big bear hugs the most. The heavens have received another angel and I look forward to the day I will see you again. We love you, papa.
