Teresa B. (Terry) Carr passed away on March 22, 2012, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Terry was born Teresa Bo Hays on November 24, 1922, in Kingman, Arizona. She was the daughter of Lewis Anthony and Anna Clara (McCracken) Hays, and sister of Carroll Hays, Donnie (Hays) Volkman, and Julia (Hays) Hiber. Terry married her sweetheart, Thomas Earl Carr, on August 24, 1940. Earl preceded her in death in 1995 after 55 years of marriage. Terry spent her life devoted to her family. The annual deer hunt with their friends and their motor homes was a favorite annual event. She was active in many organizations, including Girl Scouts, Western Saddle Club, Soroptimist Club, Westside Food Bank, and Youngtown Civic Association. She is survived by her children, Stanley E. Carr and wife Diane, Linda E. (Carr) Adams and husband Ted, and David A. Carr and wife Lisa Helm; grandchildren Tom Carr and wife Dawn, Matthew Carr and wife Rosa, Jaron Carr, Ian Carr and wife Jessica Crichfield, Meagan Carr, and Travis Routzahn; and great-grandchildren Tiffany Hickman, Stephanie Carr, Tom Carr Jr., Brianna Carr, Dustin Routzahn, Rhys McNulty, and great-great grandchildren, Maika Carr, Emily Hickman, and Gerard Hickman. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, socially active, and a frequent local volunteer until her tragic illness. She will be missed by us all. A memorial service for Teresa will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 11:00am, at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale.
