Steven Michael Acuna, an adventurous and faithful man, passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 55. He was born on July 10, 1969, in Phoenix, AZ. He was the youngest of three children born to Arturo and Adeline Acuna. Steve was a 1987 graduate of Maryvale High School and collected a few college classes as well.
Steve dedicated nearly 19 years to his career with the United States Postal Service. He worked at the Maryvale station, where he was known for his commitment, hard work, and desire to help others.
On December 1, 2007, Steven married Angela (Gerken) Kroll, with whom he shared a loving and fun life.
He is survived by his loving wife Angela, two adult stepchildren, six grandchildren, his sister Linda Acuna of San Diego, CA, a favorite uncle, several close cousins, and friends he called family. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
A man of a varied interests, Steve was passionate about sports and was a die-hard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Phoenix Suns. He enjoyed the outdoors, doing things like fishing, camping, golfing, traveling, and attending horse races in Del Mar, CA. Steve never met a stranger; he would strike up a conversation with anyone.
In his community, Steven was a faithful attendee of Radiant Church in Surprise, Arizona, where he was known for his vibrant spirit and his love for God. He will be remembered for always staying busy and having fun, loving people (especially his wife), and leaving behind a legacy of joy and adventure.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, May 3, 2025 beginning at 3PM at Radiant Church, 10701 W. Boswell Blvd., Sun City.
There will also be a celebration of life from 5-10PM at Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N 83rd Ave, Peoria.
Wear your Steelers, Suns or Diamondbacks gear or another team... just not the Cowboys!
