Steve Nelson

Steve A. Nelson was born in Rifle, Colorado on January 26, 1952 to Lenora & Eldon Nelson. He worked most of his career as a computer program analyst. He retired from the elementary school district in 2018. Steve enjoyed time with his wife, Vayna and his favorite way to spend his time was with his family. His wife, children and especially his grandchildren were his greatest treasures. Steve passed away on November 18, 2022.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Vayna, his daughters, Nicole Damron (Jonathan) and Cherie Hillis (Joshua), his son, Troy Nelson (Michelle) his father, Eldon Nelson, his sister, Debbie Rogers, his brothers, Roger and Phillip Nelson as well as his grandkids: Michael, Alexis, Ashton, Alana, Aaron, Brogan, Caileigh, Spencer, Dominic, Trinity, Briauna, Lilly, Sophia and his multiple foster grandkids who were instantly a part of those he loved.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother Lenora Nelson, his brother, Richard Nelson, niece, Keri Nelson, grandparents, Sada Ethel & Floyd Barrick, uncles, Dale Barrick and Glenn Nelson and aunts, Dorothy St. John, Mary McElrath and Callie Flatt.

A Celebration of life will be held December 3, 2022 at 12noon, at the LDS church located at 4748 W. Orangewood Avenue Glendale, AZ 85301.
