Sheryl L. Dalmolin Moody, 69, of Globe, Arizona, lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Sept. 09, 2015 in Hospice. Born Nov. 26, 1945 to Arthur & Josephine Dalmolin, Sheryl grew up in Globe and spent most of her life in the Phoenix area. She attended Phoenix College and then NAU to become a teacher, always knowing what she wanted to be. After 35+ years teaching English grammar in PVUSD, Sheryl’s legacy lives on through the many children she inspired and pushed to be their best. After raising her children, Sheryl returned to school to earn her Master’s in Education from ASU. In her spare time, her passion for learning & teaching continued – leading church classes and a Girl Scout Troop, avidly reading & gardening, and sewing & baking with her grandkids. She also enjoyed travel, including her annual pilgrimage to the California beach and ancestral visits to Italy. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her brother Arthur John Dalmolin Jr. (Gail); daughter Artis Lee Miller (Lee) & grandchildren Tommy, Cody, Colton, & Dylan & great-grandchildren Gianna, Bella, & Hunter; daughter Diane Louise Dilgard-Koons (Nate) & grandchildren Bailey (Dewet) & Tatum; and daughter Jennifer L. DeAngelo (Andrea).
Viewing will be held on Friday, Sept. 18 from 5-8p & funeral services on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11a, both at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale 85301.
