He was born on July 6, 1943 in Denver, Colorado to the late Albert Silk and Peggy VanStralin.
Bob married Rebecca Oliver on May 30, 1981.
He served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Bob was a sprinkler fitter affiliated with Local 669 for over 31 years.
Bob enjoyed photography, golf and following NASCAR in his retirement. He also loved relaxing to music by his favorites Dean Martin and Roy Orbison. Without a doubt Bob's favorite past time was spending time with the great love of his life Rebecca "Beck". He was at his happiest just doing for her.
In addition, to his wife Becky, he is survived by nine children; Cathy (René) Oliva, Karyn Oliver, Kim (Brent) Thompson, Christopher Silk, Jami (Louie) Buzzard, Juli (Larry) Hostetter, Rick Shafer, Linda Bruner & Lori Shafer, sister Michele Jajdelski Campbell, brothers Bill & Steve Silk and sixteen grandchildren Alec, Tage, McKenna, Kaitlyn, Tyce, Samantha, Jake, Madison, Tiffany, Karlee, Ricky, Sydnie, Brian, Jenna, Page and Nate.
Bob was preceded in death by a daughter Christine Ostwinkle.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 1-2PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Funeral services will begin at 2PM. Burial with military honors will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
