Robert R. Gruhlke, 72, passed away on Aug. 27, 2009 after a 2 year battle with cancer. He was born on June 7, 1937 to Lester and Gertie Gruhlke in Knox, Wisconsin. He served 4 years in the Marines and retired from the Air Force in 1977. He also retired from the post office in 2004. He joined the Masons while serving in Germany and was a member of Hiram Daylight Lodge #73 serving as Master twice. He was active in the El Zaribah Shrine and was a member in both the Temple Guard and Provost Units. He was also active in the Maricopa County Posse as a member of the Communications Unit. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Dee, son Guy, daughter Pam, grandsons Eric and Anthoney Moreno, his sister Nancy (Ned Kohn), brothers Ted, Don (Rita) and Dale (Sally), and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Gertie and Lester Gruhlke and his brother William Gruhlke.
