It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Alan Driggs. Robert was born, October 20, 1938 in Hutchinson Kansas to Winona & Merle Driggs (Deceased - Hutchinson, KS). Robert leaves behind his beloved wife, Anne (Cleveland, OH); sons Brian & Travis; grandchildren Johnathan Isaac (US Army – Ft. Bliss TX) and Penny Julianne (Phoenix, AZ); brother Richard (Deceased – San Diego, CA) and sister Sally (Deceased – San Diego, CA) and his Dog Lelu.
Robert worked for Standard Oil (Cleveland, OH) for 20 years. He was a Member of the US Army Reserve, as a 1st SGT (Cleveland, OH / Hutchinson, KS). Robert attended the US Army Sergeants Major Academy in Ft. Bliss, TX. He graduated 1985 from “Sterling 25 – That’s what we call ourselves”. Upon graduation he became the SGM Senior Enlisted Advisor for the US Army Reserve – 7th USAREUR. Robert became a Retired SGM in 1995 after 30 of total service in the United States Army.
Knowing the wonderful man and Gentle giant that Robert was, may we all remember his name and keep his legacy going by not forgetting the life he lived and the lives he impacted. Roberts’ life enhanced the life of his family, many friends and the thousands of soldiers that he mentored and guided in his career.
