Robert Lee (RL) Coppinger, 93, of Cherry, Arizona, passed away on February 11, 2018. RL, an Arizona native was born on April 30, 1924 in Tolleson, Arizona. He spent 89 years of his life here in the valley. He married his wife Marie Wells in 1942. He joined the Navy and served 3 years during WWII. RL and Marie had 3 sons Raoul, Robert and Larry. Raoul and Marie preceded him in death and is survived by sons Robert (Sandi) Coppinger, Larry (Betsy) Coppinger both of Cherry, Arizona, 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. RL was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. His love for his family and his church will live on in his descendants. Visitation will be on February 23 at 11:00 am at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave Glendale, AZ 85301. A funeral service will be at 12:00 pm and committal service will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
