Robert N. Bradshaw

A graveside service will be held on October 16, 2023, at 10:00 am at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ.

Robert was born on July 1, 1930, in Bloomington, Illinois, the youngest of seven children born to Robert N. and Bertha Schwab Bradshaw. He grew up in Carlock, Illinois and graduated from Carlock High School. He married Joyce Marie Smith on December 25, 1948, in Bloomington, Illinois. They moved to Arizona in 1975.

Robert served in the United States Navy from 1948-1950. He worked for the United States Postal Service from 1951 until his retirement in 1987. In 1976, he became a Maricopa County Reserve Deputy Sheriff and was Commander of the Reserves from 1981-1983. From 1987-1997, he worked as a Maricopa County detention officer. He was a member of the Masons as well as the York Rite and Scottish Rite organizations.

Surviving are his four children, Bruce (Cindy) Bradshaw; Peggi (Fred) Bender; Kevin (Nicola) Bradshaw; Lori Rauser, and one grandson, Justin Bender. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, and 4 sisters.

Robert enjoyed traveling and his various Masonic activities. He will be remembered for always sharing stories about his life and “adventures.”
