Rick Nelson

Rick Edwin Nelson of Glendale, AZ passed away peacefully March 1, 2022 at his home with his family at his side. Rick was born July 9, 1958 in Provo, Utah to Milton and Renee Nelson. He attended Murray High School where he played football and baseball and made All State for both. Rick also played football for Snow College and Utah State and graduated with a BA in Education. He made many lifelong friends through his high school and college years. Rick's siblings include Rourk Nelson (Cynthia), and Brett Nelson both from Murray, Utah. He also has two nieces and two nephews.

Rick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was thoughtful, generous and genuinely loved people. He made everyone he met feel like an old friend. He touched thousands of lives with his friendly manner, love for sports and gentle sense of humor. Rick worked for Mountain Bell (23 years) in Utah and Arizona and 14 years for TW Telecom. He is survived by his wife, Jill Walker Nelson, daughter, Camille Chambers, son, Michael Smith (Jessica) and grandchildren, Raegan, Dyer, and Kendall Chambers and a grandson due to be born July, 2022. He also leaves behind a loving Labrador, Toby and a persnickety kitty, Bella.

Celebration of Life for Rick will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 between 1:00-4:00 PM at the Arrowhead Country Club (19888 N. 73rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308).
