Reginald, or Harvey as he was affectionately known to his friends and family, was born in Ray, AZ on July 16, 1942. He grew up in the small mining town of Hayden, AZ, where he graduated from high school. His academic journey continued at the University of Arizona where he earned his Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD). He married his beloved wife, Helen Barefoot Taylor, on February 15, 1998.
With a notable career, Harvey was a distinguished lawyer who ran his own practice, R. Harvey Dye Law, PC. He was an active member of the State Bar of Arizona and a respected advocate for his clients. He also enjoyed reading and writing, golfing, fishing, spending time with family, and watching sci-fi movies and shows. He had a keen intellect, a generous heart, and a witty sense of humor.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Helen; seven sons, Taylor Dye, Carter Dye, David Dye, Michael Dye, Paul Taylor, Alan Taylor, and Jim Taylor; nine grandchildren, and his sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Nelson. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
