Raymond Wayne Riffle Jr. was born the 24th of July, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond Sr. and Jewel. He was blessed with two younger siblings Thomas and Paulette “The Claw.”
He graduated in 1975 from Lockport High School in Lockport, Illinois.
Ray was the definition of a blue-collar working man. He has always taken pride in his work as a teenager and up into adulthood. Working in town or on the family farm, then finding his niche working for the City of Casper. Once he moved to Bullhead, Arizona, he quickly settled in working for the city yet again.
Ray was blessed with three girls- Rondi, Raechel, and Rebecca. He may have claimed they would “drive him crazy”, but they were a source of pride for him as well.
Ray was known as someone who was a bit long winded, but stories were always interesting. He enjoyed history, watching (and yelling at) the news, and drinking an iced cold beverage, preferably Miller Lite. He also enjoyed buying and collecting rifles, and especially shooting (“Wasting Ammo” as he called it) with Nick.
Ray loved going to breakfast, and drinking coffee with the people he loved. He enjoyed all types of music, and could often be heard listening to tunes throughout the day. He was gruff, but had a heart as big as a teddy bear. His love for classic cars and Harley’s will always be something he’ll be remembered for. Ray had a giving spirit, one of his favorite pastimes was picking out toys for the grandkids.
Fun fact: every year he got the girls, and their families, Harley shirts from different dealers across the USA. He also was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan.
He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Bullhead City, which was something he was very proud of.
He has survived by his daughters Rondi {Dustin Johnson} Raechel {Brent Newgard} and Rebecca {Jon Fleming} Grandchildren: Reid, Grant, Addison, Ophelia, and Ezra. Mother Jewel Filback. Sister Paulette “the claw” Riffle, Brother Thomas {Ann} Riffle. Nieces: April {Chris Oliver} Colleen, Kelly, and Kristy. Nephews: Casey and Craig. Great nieces and nephews: Jocelyn, Jensen, Connor, and Elizabeth. Special friends Nick and Renee, Paul, Brad and Marsha, and Deanna.
He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Riffle Sr., George N. Vulgaris, Jim Riffle, John Riffle, John Filback, and the many animals that spent the best years of their lives with him.
Ray has always loved the mountains; his wishes were to be cremated and spread in the Big Horns.
