We always enjoyed being around Ray, he had a way of letting you know the better way to do things.  He was a lot of fun and we will miss him a great deal.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

You will always be "RV Ray" to me. I learned a lot from you on our many camp trips. We will miss you dearly, but you will always be in our hearts.

We had a great time in the 60's and 70's. I have good memories of working on cars and houses together, being good friends and neighbors. These things I will never forget.

What a great man my Uncle Ray was! He always had a big hug and a smile for everyone.  I'm sorry we didn't get to spend more time together but the memories of the times we had will be forever in my heart. Ray was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. He used to sneak us into his camper to watch NASCAR races, even though he was a Jimmie Johnson fan and Mike's a Harvick fan. But I think he waited until Johnson was leading to ask us in!
When my dad died he was a great comfort. He will be sorely missed.

Sorry to hear about Ray's passing…he helped shape and inspire many people, young and old through all his work with the Scouts, etc. He was always willing to help anyone in need with his many talents, and he and Ruth always made anyone and everyone feel welcome in their home. I have many fond memories of Ray- Boy Scout camping trips (our camping trips were the best...learning to water ski, fishing, hiking the Verde River and snow camping), helping with everyones auto repairs and home improvement projects, many cups of coffee around their dining table and of course a few beers...Sorry, we will not be able to attend the service, but we will be there with you in spirit and our prayers go out to you and your family. Ray was a blessing to so many...

I really can't say what's in my heart. There were so many wonderful camping trips. I loved sitting around the fire pit, listening to Ray's great stories, with Ruth always sitting by his side. Will miss you so much on the camping trips ~ always a comfort to know you and Ruth were watching camp while we headed to the hills ~ and to hear about the antics that took place in our absence.  You shared your laughter and your insight with us all ~~ you will be missed.

While I did not know Ray for a long time, I will always remember that when we were camping together if someone in the group had something not working properly Ray was always the first one there to lend a hand and was always fountain of knowledge and a pleasure to know.
