Patricia Jean Taylor

Patricia Jean Taylor, 89, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2021. Patricia worked for Mervyn’s Department Store and retired after 20 years of service. She enjoyed working in the infant and children’s clothing departments. Patricia loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was an avid doll collector.

Patricia was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married Donald Max Jamison in 1948 and they had 3 children, Larry, Sandi and Donnie. She became a widow in 1956, and was remarried in 1958 to Donald A. Taylor. The family relocated to Glendale, Arizona where they resided for 62 years and had one son, David.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Taylor; her parents Virgil Hamersley, Sr. and Thurza (Thacker) Hamersley; her brother, Virgil Hamersley Jr.; her sisters Charlene Wilson and Wilma Blackwell; her son Donald Eugene Jamison and grandson Danny Max Moreno.

She is survived by her sons Larry Jamison and David Taylor; her daughter Sandra Ward; 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family and her circle of dear friends.

A visitation and services for friends and family in Indiana will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 12:00 PM noon until 2:00 PM at Shirley Brothers, 9606 East Washington Street, Indianapolis. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Immediately following the services.
