Michael K. Cantrell

A dear friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have. The leaves stand for faith, hope, love and luck. If you are lucky enough to find one, they will change your life forever. Mike was a dear friend to all who knew him. He was loyal, honest, dependable, trustworthy, genuine, and very giving. He had a big heart for kids and loved spoiling them. He loved his family and lived his life to the fullest.

Mike was born December 6, 1951 to Mary and Kermit Cantrell in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was one of many children and adopted, as a young boy by the Hamilton family. As he grew up and taught himself, many would call him a “jack of all trades” skilled in a variety of tasks, but an expert in electrical and fuel. He provided long–lasting and outstanding service as a general commercial contractor and enjoyed teaching others his talents and skills.

Dale Earnhardt once said, “You can’t let one bad moment spoil a bunch of good ones.” Mike found happiness sitting in the bleachers at NASCAR, riding his Harley Davidson on road trips and watching his favorite football team, San Francisco 49ers. He was a big Donald Trump fan and enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, guns, and loved music, especially the Rolling Stones.

On September 26, 2024, after a long battle with heart issues and diabetes Mike passed away at the age of 72, with family by his side. His passing has left behind, broken hearts and a life changing impact. He will be missed throughout future family gatherings and life milestones.

Mike was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa and dear friend. We were lucky and blessed to have known him and will keep his memories alive forever in our hearts.

He is up in Heaven now, he took that final ride. He's with the angels now, flying by his side. He's riding like an angel, beyond where we can see. He took that final journey ..forever riding free.

A Celebration of life for Mike will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, Arizona 85301.
