Mary Lou (Sempel) Anderson, 85 of Surprise, Arizona entered into heaven on April 29, 2020 with her family by her side. Mary Lou was born February 23, 1935 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Louise Mae (Kohl) and Louis Emil Sempel. She was the 4th of 7 children; Wayne Sempel (deceased), Ray Larson (deceased), Donald Sempel (deceased), Shirley Anderson, David Sempel, and Nancy Grainger. Mary Lou grew up in the town of Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School. It was during her freshman year Mary Lou met her lifetime sweetheart and true love, Floyd. From that time, they were inseparable. Just one year after graduating high school, they were married on September 4, 1954. Mary Lou and Floyd had 4 beautiful children while living in Minnesota. In December 1971, Mary Lou and Floyd packed up the family of 6 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona to start a new family owned business venture. They owned and operated the House of Canvas with Shirley and Roger Anderson for about 40 years. In early 2000 they decided to enjoy their retirement and relocated to Bullhead City, Arizona. While in Bullhead City, Mary Lou enjoyed volunteering and "giving back" at the local hospital gift shop. She loved painting rocks, baking, and taking computer classes at the college. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mary Lou will be remembered for her ever generous heart, her great amount of patience, and her sense of compassion. She loved the holidays and hosting the many guests that came to visit their home. Her outgoing and friendly personality led to many life long cherished friendships.
Mary Lou leaves behind her husband, Floyd Henry Anderson, of 65 years. Her children; Jeffrey Anderson, Timothy Anderson, Sharon Ball, and Katherine Rucker (Darold). Her Grandchildren; Tiffany Agnew (Dana), Jacqueline Powers (Douglas), Alicia Ryan (Jim), Kaylan Krah (Ricky), Aaron Ball, Jennifer Ball, Sara Ulloa (Ricky),and Kyl Rucker (Cecilia).
Her great grandchildren; Gregory, Jordan, Dylan, James, Kylie, Austin, Colton, Braden, Dominic, Jazzlyn, Isabella, Julian, Casen, and Mia.
She will be forever loved and missed by all.
