Mary Lee Bean of Phoenix, Arizona passed away April 21, 2018. She was born on May 2, 1933 in Hickory, North Carolina to L.R Flowers and Eva Woodruff. Mary married Clyde Bean and they had two sons. Mary attended Hudson High School and graduated with her diploma. She went on to study art at Glendale Community College gaining her AA Degree. Mary loved water colors and became an Art Teacher instructing in several schools and studios. Mary is renowned in Water Color Art Society and some of her pieces hang in the White house and the Blair House. Mary was a member of Starlight Park Baptist Church and the (AWA) Arizona Water Color Association. Mary is survived by her sons Michael E. Bean (Linda Primozich) and David C. Bean; Her grandsons Jason, Fred, and Farron; sisters Hellen Poole (Clyde), Rubie Fite (Lonnie) and Carolyn Walker; and several other family and friends. Mary is preceded by her parents; husband Clyde and sisters Pearl and Evelyn.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mary will be held at Starlight Park Baptist Church at 7901 W. Osborn Rd, Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday April 29, 2018.
followed by a Funeral Service at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home at 522 Wildesboro SE Lenoir, North Carolina on Thursday May 3, 2018.
Interment Services at Union Grove Baptist Church at 1808 Union Grove Rd. Lenoir, North Carolina date to be announced.
