Maria Socorro Salazar

She was born in León, Guanajuato, Mexico on May 8, 1946 to the late Pioquinto Muñoz and Maria Ester Diaz.

Maria married Salvador Salazar on September 27, 1967. They have shared over 52 years of marriage.

Maria loved spending time with her family. She loved cooking for them and also loved playing Loteria! She loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit some beautiful places like Jerusalem and Puerto Rico.

She was a loving and devoted Christian woman that served God with all her heart. Her church family will truly miss her and are also deeply sadden of her passing.

Maria fought her illness until the end but God welcomed her with open arms. Her husband and her family will miss her but she will live in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her beloved husband Salvador, six children Martin (Elilah) Salazar, Jaime Salazar, Marisela Salazar, Ricardo Salazar, Araceli (Edmundo) Giles & Edward (Ivonne) Salazar, seven siblings, 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Maria was preceded in death by a son Armando.

Due to COVID-19 funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
