Maria R. De Alejandro

Maria R. De Alejandro passed away on August 30, 2023, with her family by her side. Born on August 16, 1935, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, she was one of six children born to the late Arnulfo & Isaura Chavez.

Maria married Zenon De Alejandro, II on January 30, 1960. They shared 62 years of marriage prior to his passing in January of 2022. Maria and Zenon had six children together.

She was a woman of God who also was an amazing mother, grandmother & great-grandmother and she was a wonderful friend to many.

Maria is survived by five children David (Ruthie) De Alejandro, Issy (Robert) Hanks, Maria Connell, Arnold (Anna) De Alejandro & Danny De Alejandro, 11 grandchildren Valentino De Alejandro, Vanessa De Alejandro, Valerie De Alejandro, AJ De Alejandro, Ryan Hanks, Brandon De Alejandro, Christian De Alejandro, Kaitlyn De Alejandro, Viviana De Alejandro, Zachery De Alejandro & Alyssa De Alejandro and 11 great-grandchildren Elijah De Alejandro, Mariah De Alejandro, Valentina De Alejandro, Alessandra De Alejandro, Ariana De Alejandro, Damian De Alejandro, Roman De Alejandro, Sebastian De Alejandro, Neheniah De Alejandro, Zenon Hanks & Cruz Hanks.

In addition to her husband and parents, her son Johnny De Alejandro, grandson Gabriel De Alejandro, and her five siblings preceded her in death.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 12-1 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale with services beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
