Lisa, you have been a wonderful friend to me from 3rd grade to high school to working together, we hung out, we laughed, you were with me during my most trying days. Wish we had done more even though we did so much together. I close my eyes and see some of it go by in my mind...I love you friend! I will never forget  you neither will Paul. Miss you! ❤ always in my heart!

Arnold and family-Lisa was a beautiful person. She was one of the first people I met when I came to Guam and I remembered thinking that if all of Guam was as kind as she was, I'd stay for a long time. Lisa was more than my sister-in-law; SHE WAS MY SISTER! She was our Mama Bear.  Lisa would nurture us, guide and if need be give a gentle tug in the right direction. My sister was a very compassionate person. She had a deep love for her friends and family and would do anything to help them. We spent countless hours sitting and talking about everything. She was my sounding board she was my compass. She taught me about motherhood and she taught me about unconditional love. We would stay up for hours chatting over coffee till the early hours of the morning, it was a wonderful memory of mine.
Lisa loved baking and most enjoyed the joy her desserts brought to others. When my son asks for chocolate chip cookies at 1130pm, Auntie Lisa would be right there baking chocolate cookies as if were nothing more than boiling water.  You can taste the love in her delicious desserts. There was nothing she could not bake, and it didn't stop there. Her passion was in creating. There was no dessert she couldn't bake, no canvas she couldn't paint, no creative idea for furniture or fixture she couldn't dream up. She was a creative savant.  When she had a creative vision there was no stopping her. Not the last call for shoppers at ROSS nor the absence of stock room inventory.  If it took all week or all month she would complete her vision. 
When I first heard the news of Lisa's illness I was shattered.  But, I had this firm belief that this was just a bump in the road. Lisa was one of the strongest women I know.  In no time Lisa was going to power through and be home with us to celebrate yet another Birthday. She has always be fierce and determined there was nothing she couldn't do.  She approached every challenge with grace and purpose.  Like a warrior on a battlefield.  
My sister passed away unexpectedly on June 29 and she left an empty place in my heart. We did not have a chance to prepare or say our goodbyes.  It  was one of the saddest most painful days of my life. A memory forever etched in my mind and my heart. Some say time heals all wounds but, for me the pain is as raw as that Wednesday evening at 8pm.  Although, I told Lisa countless times how much I Love her and how much she means to me,  what I wouldn't give to tell her I love her one last time and how important she was to me. There is that spark that will forever be amiss. Her time with us was too short, but in that short time she has brought us so much love and it is in her love that will carry us through. Lisa will always be remembered for her bright smiles, compassion, generosity and love of family. My sister was an example to everyone she met how to love completely and selflessly. I am honored Lisa was my sister and will look back on our time together with fond memories.  I will always remember her and the time we spent together. Her memory will live on in my heart forever.

Lisa, thank you for being such an amazing wife for Arnold and mother to Denise and AJ... they had the most beautiful, caring, and patient example of what a mother and wife should be. When we hear or read, 1Corinthians 13:4-7, we remember Love. Lisa is the epitome of Love. She was patient, kind, she did not envy, boast, nor was she proud. She was honorable, loving, always trusting, always protecting, full of hope, faith, and she definitely persevered.
Family was a big part of her. Her love for family was tremendous! She loved it when we could finally get together. She would plan our outings, which of course included her favorite past time, shopping! She loved to laugh and reminisce over good food, but most importantly, the great company of family. She instilled in me the value and importance of family! 
She was my guiding light, she always watched over me, even when I was wrong. She was my backbone, when I could not stand up for myself. She was my voice when I was too scared or embarrassed. I remember an event we were at and I was feeling uncomfortable and nervous. She knew when I would feel that way without me having to tell her. She gave me the best advice that day. She told me, "You sit up there and you hold your head high! You belong here and no one can say or do anything to take that away from you!" She sat behind me that day and I knew as I always did, she would always have my back. I have no doubt she is forever watching over me and guiding me. Lisa was the light along the way. She loved us for who we were, she motivated, inspired, and encouraged us. She showed us how to be kind, patient, thankful, forgiving, and loving. Most of all, she is a beautiful soul, who brought the meaning of family, life, and love into our hearts. I could only hope that one day, I could live up to her legacy, that I, could be the wonderful, amazing, wise, loving woman she was in this lifetime.
