Kathryn Daily

Mariam “Kathryn” Daily, 91, passed away on May 13, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona. She was born October 17, 1923 in Joplin, Missouri to Sylvia G. Durham and John E Lauener. Several years later Kathryn’s mother married Lial F. Belk. He adopted Kathryn and soon gave her a bother, Darrell. Kathryn considered Lial Belk her father. She met her husband Curtis R.E. Daily while working in a grocery store. Soon Kathryn and Curtis were married. They moved to Tucson and soon started a family, Curtis Ray, Linda Kay and Michael Jay. After they moved to Glendale, AZ they raised their children. Kathryn worked as a clerk at several convenience stores, and worked with her husband, Curtis, managing the book for their company K.C. Screens. They loved spending time with their children, grandchildren and their siblings. After Curtis passed away Kathryn continued to spend her time with her family. She loved to travel fish and play cards and board games. She was a force to be reckoned with at a game of Aggravation. She was active with her church. She helped with Sunday School and helped care of the little ones in the Nursery. Kathryn was a member of Faith Baptist Church for around 20 years and more recently at Maranatha Baptist Church. She enjoyed the fellowship of both churches twice a week until a month before she passed.

Kathryn was predeceased by her parents Sylvia and Lial Belk, her husband Curtis Daily, her brother Darrell Belk and her good friend Arlene Booth. She is survived by her children Curtis (Lori) Daily, Linda (Corky) Fenton and Michael (Peggy) Daily. She is also survived by her sister in law Delores (Darrell) Belk and countless nieces, nephews and cousins who were all very dear to her. Kathryn will hold a space in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held Saturday May 23, 2015 at West Resthaven Funeral Home located at 6450 W. Northern Avenue. Glendale, AZ 85301 Visitation: 10am-12pm Services: 12pm-12:45pm Interment: 1pm.
