Karen Sue Smith

Karen was a wonderful, sweet, nurturing spirit. She enjoyed the serenity of nature, the peace of working in the yard and her mother’s garden. Karen found joy in caring for those she loved, and never hesitated to help others.

Karen met her husband Justin while working together at Ferguson’s Cafeteria where a friendship and then love began. Karen and Justin married on May 14,1988 and joined together and created memories of a life shared together with their children for 36 years.

Although the time with Karen was far too short, her laugh, her smile, her teachings, and memories live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Justin Smith, her children Jennell (Chris) Griffin, Joseph Smith, and Emily Smith, her grandchildren Domanic Siefkas, Donovan Siefkas, Peyton Smith, and Kashton Smith, her siblings LeAnn (Troy) Eiffert and Kenny (Judi) Krauss, as well as her father Willard “Butch” Krauss, and her mother-in-law Sood Smith. She also leaves a number of extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Krauss.
