Jose Manuel Flores, a hard-working and faithful man, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on August 27, 1932, in Goodyear, Arizona, he was the eldest of seven children to parents Manuel and Maria Flores.
Jose, a Korean War veteran, served honorably with the Navy. Following his military service, he committed over 28 years of his life working for the City of Phoenix until his retirement in 1984.
He is survived by his six children: Jose Manuel (Yolanda) Flores, Jr., Sarah Taddei, David Flores, Steven (Diana) Flores, Alexander Marcus (Katrina) Flores, and Emiliano "Gabe" (Amerika) Flores. Jose is also survived by his brother, Jesus "Chuey" Flores, and five sisters: Sandra Hernandez, Margaret Holguin, Barbara Flores, Patricia Saiz, and Maryhelen Demarbiex. His legacy extends to 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, with another on the way, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Patricia Flores and son-in-law Andrew Taddei.
Jose Manuel Flores will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and community.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 10:00AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Avenue, Phoenix. Burial with military honors will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 12:30PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix.
