He was born on July 13, 1935 in Holbrook, Arizona to the late Robert and Frances (Jones) Mahan.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley, on January 3, 2011.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born and raised a cattleman, was a carpenter by trade, and was always willing to share his time and skills with others.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Henry Mahan and sister Jean Mahan. Jack is survived by four children, Rebecca (Rick) Ricchi, Robert Mahan, Jacque (David) Esmay & Johnnie Mahan, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6-8PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the funeral home following services.
