Jessi was an outgoing and caring person for every person she came across. Since a young girl she always loved being around people, whether it was cheerleading or playing basketball to just hanging out goofing around with friends. She loved music and she was never afraid of dancing in any setting. Jessica’s genuine outlook on life was always to look at the good in people which set her apart. A big heart who always wanted to bring happiness to the ones around her.
Jessi loved her friends, family, and God. The most important being her daughter, Gabriella. Throughout her life she always wanted the best for Gabriella and loved her unconditionally. When you spoke to Jessi, she was always proud to be the mother of Gabriella. Jessica’s faith in the Lord was strong. She always had her bible and the readings close to her. She was a member of Christ’s Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona (CCV). Her mother Sandra was her best friend. Through all the journeys of life and the most important moments her mother was by her side with unconditional love.
Jessica was the daughter of Sandra and the late Monroe Alan Unger. Besides her mother she leaves behind her daughter Gabriella Jean Unger (9) and her brother Joey Unger, and sister in law Teshia Unger, and nephew Wynn Monroe. Also, the granddaughter of Ella and the late Kenneth Gwin, and the niece of Mike, and Kenny.
At Jessica's request, she was cremated by her family. There was a private event for her family. The family is planning a celebration of life at the one year mark of her death which will be held in her hometown of Columbus, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial donations to her daughter Gabriella.
Our family would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and continued support. Jessi was loved by so many and the outpouring of love we have seen is incredible. We know Jessi is looking down smiling at each of us saying, it’s going to be okay. Jessi’s light will shine on through her daughter (Gabby) and all of us who she has impacted through her presence here on earth.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8- So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
Revelation 21:4- And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Matthew 5:8- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
