Jess was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, & great-grandfather.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife Patsy of 64 years; his children, Terry (Rafael) De’Alva, Angie (Mike) Chavez, Lisa (Tony) Fabay, and Jay Rodriguez Jr., 17 grandchildren & 33 great-grandchildren.
Jess was born on January 24, 1940, in Glendale, Arizona to Elizardo Rodriguez and Maria Jesus Murrietta.
He attended Phoenix Union High School and graduated in 1958.
His work trade was Sheet Metal Worker Local #359, later became superintendent at SMP Mechanical, and retired later in years with Local #359. Jess and Patsy opened the business of Rodriguez Income Tax, retired, and passed the business to their son Jess Jr.
Jess loved to listen to music and dance, he was a great dancer I may add!
He also had a passion for playing fast-pitch and slow-pitch ball, he was a VERY GOOD ball player! When he stopped playing ball, he picked up golfing.
Jess had so much love for his family, he loved the family parties and holidays where we all got together.
We will miss his sense of humor, and his views of life, he will forever be missed!
