James George Goldade , 70, was born on May 4, 1945 in Portland Oregon to George and Margie Goldade. His dad drove logging trucks and his mom was a realtor. In the 1950’s his family moved to Washington State where Jim attended school and studies came before play. At age 10 Jim won a coloring contest for a 5 day trip to Disneyland as a guest of Walt Disney. This entitled him to a lifetime key to the Magic Kingdom. Jim developed a passion for the water and fishing boats. He worked on fishing boats in Seattle in the summer and at the Ski resort in the winters. Jim worked his way up to captain in 1978 in SE Alaska and later traveled up to the Bering Sea in the 1980’s. Jim achieved his celestial license to navigate by the stars in 1990. That same year he became a Master of ocean steam or motor vessel of not more than 1600 gross tons. In 2000, Jim retired and moved to Litchfield Park, Arizona with his wife of 43 years, Teri Goldade. On March 13, 2016 Jim left his loving family and entered into eternal life. He was a 2 time cancer survivor. Jim enjoyed baseball, fishing, gardening, golf, hockey, cooking and loved his current dogs Annie, Molly, Kiki, and Henry. Jim will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Church at Litchfield Park 300 N. Old Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park, AZ.
