Jack Robert White entered into heaven on July 5, 2015. He was born August 16, 1925 to Andrew and Myrtle White, in Stroud, Oklahoma. He was one of 7 children and grew up on an 80 acre farm near Tahlequah, prior to entering into the Army. Jack served in World War II, in the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper, military police, and guard to General Ridgeway. After the war, he was employed by Phelps Dodge Corporation in Morenci, Arizona, as a locomotive engineer for 40 years. After retirement, he spent the remainder of his life in Peoria, Arizona.
Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dora (Nardelli). Together they raised three children, Jacque White, Carl White (Claudia), and Leslie Cox. He was proud of his five grandchildren: Graham White (Sara), Bradley White, Laura White, Nick Cox, and Courtney Cox, and he adored his two great-grandchildren, Maecyn and Nuggy White.
Jack was a friend to many and a "hero" to members of his extended family. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the outdoors: camping, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar, watching Diamondback games, and working puzzles.
