years, holding his wife’s hand and surrounded by family.
He leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Marilyn Bomar; his two sons, Fred and Kelly; his daughter, Julia Gay; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandbabies; and many close family and friends. Preceded by his two sons Gary and Tom Bomar.
Born in Bovina, TX, and raised in House, NM. The son of Robert Emett and Justine (Smith) Bomar, brother to 11 siblings.
In his early years he worked on the family farm as a rancher. He later served the USAF in the Korean war, stationed in Okinawa for 4 years. After serving in the military, he had the opportunity to open his own insurance business in 1957. He was an agent with State Farm for 56 years, working side by side with his son Kelly. He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during this time. Over the years, his expertise and reputation led him to receive many accolades.
Jack relished the time he spent taking care of his many animals, hunting with his boys, family dinners/reunions and loving on his grandkids. Above all else, he cherished his faith in the Lord. He was a true example of a Christian man, serving as an Elder with Northwest Church of Christ. The lives he impacted in his service to the Lord is unparalleled.
You may have called him Buddy, Uncle Jack, Grandpa, Papa, or Dad, but his most important calling was home; his work on earth is done and eternal peace bestowed. His smile and laughter that would light up the room will be greatly missed. Most importantly, the kindness, love and generosity that he gave to all he knew, can never be matched.
We all remember Jacks words of wisdom and many scriptures he would share.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.
We love you always and forever, watch over us and keep us safe. Until we meet again...
