Gail A. Fischer, 88, of Glendale passed away on January 8, 2023. She retired from the State of New Jersey as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Criminal Justice. She and her husband, George moved to Glendale, Arizona in 2001 where she became active in her community.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband George and her parents Hannah and Elwood “Dawes” Metz, brother in-law Harvey Fischer. She is survived by her 6 loving children: Douglas Stoop, Dawn Noel, Daniel Stoop, W. Randall Stoop (Jo Ann), George Fischer, Jr. (Marlene) and Lynda Jeannette (Daniel), 3 brothers in-law: William Burns (Roberta), Robert Burns (Michele), and Richard Burns (Lori), 3 sister in-laws: Hope Fischer, Marion Patillo (Al) and Barbara Yelton. 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation for Gail will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM and the funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. Following the funeral service will be an interment service at 2:00 PM at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gail’s memory to the Hospice of the Valley, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
