Fred is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Lynne Barela, two sons, David (Sarah) and Michael (Amy), three grandchildren and his sister Verna Cardenas.
Fred enjoyed a lifetime career with John C. Lincoln Hospital, both Deer Valley and North Mountain. He genuinely enjoyed his work as well as his work buddies. He was an active member in Deer Valley Jaycees' and was honored by being made a Jaycee International Senator.
Fred lived a blessed life and loved many things. He loved his home, pickup truck, motorcycle, and music (Spanish and Country Western). He had many companion dogs over the years and had a special bond with Lucky. He loved his Church and his friends. He loved his cabin in the mountains and star-gazing at night. He loved his family- those that have passed and those that are still with us. He loved life and was loved by many.
Those who have loved him are of course saddened, but are also filled with joy by the fact that his battle is over and that he is now in God's hands, resting peacefully.
"Vaya con Diós," my husband, dad, brother, papa, nino and friend.
